Check in with your manager

While you’re on leave, it’s good to make time for regular check ins with your employer. This will help you stay across any changes to the organisation, and help prepare you for the transition back to the workforce when you’re ready. It’s also nice to talk to some adults once in a while!

Check your wellbeing

Everyone asks how mum is, and that's fair enough. But having a baby is a major life transition for dads too. It's really normal to have mixed feelings, even if you’re really excited about your baby.

If those feelings are starting to bother you or you're feeling overwhelmed, it can be helpful to know when you might need a bit of extra help. You can measure your wellbeing by setting a profile and doing a confidential, anonymous self-assessment. It'll just help you know where you stand and what you can do to stay well.
