Perinatal mental health distress can occur for both birth parents and non-birth parents. Take time to familiarise yourself with the signs of mental health distress, so you can get the support you need when you need it.
Assess your risk of mental health distress
Once you’ve familiarised yourself with the signs of mental health distress, you can assess your risk of anxiety and stress by setting up a profile, and using our free self-assessment tool.
Reflect on what’s working and what’s not
Now that you’re back in the swing of things, you might be noticing areas for improvement. Maybe you want to work more. Maybe you want to work less. Or maybe you just need a bit more flexibility in your day to get things done.
Ask yourself, what’s working, and what’s not. And make some time to talk through this with your manager.
Set up a profile for more resources
Set up your profile to get a free Action Plan to support you as a working parent, and resources you need, when you need them in your parenting journey.
